Dr. Carolyn Day, M.D., FACS

Floyd Memorial welcomed board-certified General Surgeon Carolyn Day, MD, FACS, to its medical staff in March, 2009. Dr. Day comes highly skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery.

A graduate of East Carolina University School of Medicine in 1999, she then completed an internship and residency in general surgery at UofL in 2004. Prior to joining general surgeons Dr. Julie Hutchinson and Dr. James McCullough in their practice in New Albany, Dr. Day practiced in Louisville for over five years.

 

 

Dr. Day’s areas of expertise include:

  • General abdominal/gastrointestinal procedures
  • Breast surgeries and biopsies
  • Pancreatic procedures

Dr. Michael Doyle, M.D.

The expertise of a board-certified neurosurgeon is now available at Floyd Memorial.
Dr. Michael Doyle, M.D. is accepting patients at his Southern Indiana office located in the Professional Arts Building adjacent to Floyd Memorial.

Dr. Doyle received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 1987 and graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1991. He then completed an internship in general surgery at UofL, as well as his residency in neurosurgery, where he was chief resident. Dr. Doyle and his wife, Maria, reside in Louisville with their three children.

Floyd Memorial has formed a skilled neurosurgical team to support Dr. Doyle. The team has received additional instruction in pre-operative, surgical and post-operative care to provide optimal patient care.

Dr. Doyle’s expertise includes:

Dr. Ganesh Ramachandran, D.O., M.P.H.

Floyd Memorial welcomed fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, Ganesh Ramachandran, D.O., M.P.H., to its medical staff in October. Dr. Rama has returned to the Kentuckiana area after spending five years at the Arnett Clinic in Lafayette, Indiana.

Dr. Rama completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  He then completed fellowship training  in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery. Along with earning his Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Rama also has a Master of Public Health from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
